When are write-in votes counted and reported?
Write-in votes are tallied by election judges for the two parties in the precinct. The tally sheets are entered into electronic files at the County Clerk's Office election night and the day after the election (early and voted by mail ballots). Results are posted the day after the election when completed -- no later than 5 p.m. on Wednesday.
