On October 4, 2017, at approximately 5:00PM, Lake County Sheriff’s Deputies responded to a residence in the 200 block of Niagara Drive, Volo, for a report of a person with a gun. A witness in the area called to report he observed a man armed with a firearm, in the garage of a residence.
Sheriff’s Deputies arrived and made contact with the occupants inside the home, who were all cooperative. Upon further investigation, it was determined the gun observed by the witness was a BB Gun. After determining there was no evidence of a crime, the Sheriff’s Deputies departed the scene.
In 2015, Sheriff’s Deputies responded to the same residence for a report of shots being fired. During that incident, a man was arrested for reckless discharge of a firearm, after he fired the gun and the discharged bullet struck a neighboring home.
