[ARCHIVED] Ten with Felony Warrants Arrested in September

On September 28, 2017, Lake County Sheriff’s Deputies along with Illinois Department of Corrections Officers arrested Zachary Schulmeister, 19, of the 36300 block of North Wesley Road, Ingleside.  Schulmeister had an active Lake County failure to appear arrest warrant for Driving Under the Influence of Drugs (bond amount $20,000.00).  


Schulmeister was arrested at his residence and found to be in possession of a stolen firearm.  In addition to the arrest warrant, he was charged with:


Residential Burglary (Class 1 Felony)

Possession of a Stolen Firearm (Class 2 Felony)

Two Counts of Aggravated Unlawful Use of a Weapon (Class 4 Felony)

Theft (Class A Misdemeanor)


Schulmeister remains held in the Lake County Jail on $200,000.00 bail.  His next court date is October 4, 2017 at 9:00AM.


The Lake County Sheriff’s Office Warrants Team conducted a multijurisdictional apprehension operation on September 11, 2017.  The operation was in conjunction with the Lake County Sheriff’s Gang Task Force, Sheriff’s Criminal Investigations Section, United States Marshals Service – Great Lakes Regional Fugitive Task Force (USMS-GLRFTF), Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI), U.S. Department of Homeland Security -Homeland Security Investigations (DHS-HSI), Waukegan Police Department, and Zion Police Department.  


The following wanted individuals were apprehended:


Agustin Prado, 22, of the 1400 block of Elizabeth Avenue, North Chicago

Wanted for: Manufacturing/Delivery of Cocaine (Class X Felony), Unlawful Possession of a Controlled Substance (Class 1 Felony), and Traffic Offenses.

Prado remains held at the Lake County Jail on $100,000.00 bail.


Farrakhan J. Muhammed, 23, of the 900 block of Jenkisson Avenue, Lake Bluff

Wanted for: Unlawful Delivery of a Controlled Substance within 1000 feet of a Church (Class X Felony), and Unlawful Possession of a Controlled Substance (Class 2 Felony).

Muhammed remains held at the Lake County Jail on $75,000.00 bail.


Fazon L. Roberson, 21, of the 1700 block of Barrett Court, North Chicago

Wanted for: Armed Robbery (Class X Felony), Two Counts of Aggravated Battery (Class 3 Felonies), and Theft from a Person (Class 3 Felony).

Roberson remains held at the Lake County Jail on $250,000.00 bail.


Jewelean Brown, 57, of the 900 block of Broadway Avenue, North Chicago

Wanted for: Two Counts of Aggravated Battery (Class 3 Felonies)

Brown remains held at the Lake County Jail on $10,000.00 bail.


Quentin D. Triplett, 52, of the 2100 block of Prospect Avenue, North Chicago

Wanted for: Failure to Appear-Theft (Class 4 Felony)

Triplett remains held at the Lake County Jail on $75,000.00 bail.


Julio C. Najera-Rodriguez, 28, of the 10000 block of West Paddock Avenue, Beach Park

Wanted for: Failure to Appear-Unlawful Possession of a Controlled Substance (Class 4 Felony)

Najera-Rodriguez remains held at the Lake County Jail on $100,000.00 bail.


Wynee M. Duffie, 55, of the 1700 block of Berwick Boulevard, Waukegan

Wanted for: Failure to Appear-Two Counts of Unlawful Possession of a Controlled Substance (Class 4 Felonies)

Duffie was released by the Court on September 11, 2017, on a Personal Recognizance Bond.


Rickey Turner, 37, of the 2100 block of Gideon Avenue, Zion

Wanted for: Violation of an Order of Protection (Class 4 Felony)

Turner was located in the custody of Wisconsin Department of Corrections.


Andrew L. Crutcher, 27, of the 2600 block of Metropolitan Avenue, Waukegan

Wanted for: Failure to Appear-Manufacturing/Delivery of a Controlled Substance (Class X Felony)

Crutcher was located in the custody of the Racine Correctional Institution.


Sheriff Mark Curran said, “Due to the relationships and collaboration with our law-enforcement partners, we successfully located and apprehended 10 wanted felons this month.  I am proud of the partnerships we’ve built with other agencies in our endeavor in keeping Lake County safe.”


Sheriff Curran reminds the public the defendants are presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
