On September 26, 2017 at approximately 6:20AM, Lake County Sheriff’s Deputies responded to the 42600 block of North Lake Drive in Antioch Township, for a burglary to motor vehicle report.  While investigating the incident, Sheriff’s Deputies located Sean Campbell, 32, of the 42200 North 7th Avenue, Antioch Township, sleeping in a nearby car.

Sheriff’s Deputies determined Campbell was responsible for the burglary to motor vehicle and found him in possession of proceeds from the burglary.  Campbell was arrested and transported to the Lake County Sheriff’s Criminal Investigations Division.  Sheriff’s Deputies and Sheriff’s Detectives determined Campbell was responsible for several other recent burglaries in the area.

Campbell was subsequently charged with five counts of Burglary (Class 2 Felonies) and one count of Theft (Class A Misdemeanor).  

Campbell remains held at the Lake County Jail on $30,000.00 bail.  His next court date is October 23, 2017 at 1:30PM in courtroom C-120.

Sheriff Curran reminds the public the defendant is presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
