2018 ELECTION PREPARATION:  Courtesy Nominating Petition Packets and Signature Requirements for the 2018 March 20 Primary Election will be available on-line on our Petition Packets page and at the Lake County Clerk’s Office on August 28, 2017.  Per the Illinois Election Code, the FIRST day to circulate petitions for signatures IS NOT UNTIL SEPTEMBER 5.  The first day to file nominating petitions for established political parties in the Lake County Clerk’s Office is November 27; the last day is December 4.  For additional in-depth information about the upcoming election go to the Illinois State Board of Elections website and check the Candidate’s Guide and the Election and Campaign Finance Calendar.  As always, this website will list all candidates and public questions and provide details on registration, Early Voting, Vote-By-Mail and Election Day voting as current information becomes available.
