On June 22, 2017, members of the Lake County Sheriff’s Office Warrants Team and U.S. Marshals Service – Great Lakes Regional Fugitive Task Force (USMS-GLRFTF) apprehended Jaime Herrera, 57, of the 2500 block of Kenilworth Avenue, McHenry.
Herrera had an active Lake County arrest warrant for felony theft ($250,000.00 bond – warrant issued June, 2017, regarding a Fox Lake Police Department investigation). Herrera also had failure to appear Lake County arrest warrants for deceptive practices ($50,000.00 bond – warrant issued July, 2010) and deceptive practices ($15,000.00 bond – warrant issued August, 2010). Additionally, he had an active Porter County (Indiana) arrest warrant for felony theft ($1,000.00 full cash bond – warrant issued September, 2015).
On June 22, 2017 members of the Lake County Sheriff’s Warrants Team and USMS-GLRFTF obtained information indicating Herrera was near his residence. Warrants Team Deputies located Herrera exiting a vehicle in the driveway of his McHenry residence. He was arrested without incident and transported to the Lake County Jail where he remains held. Herrera is due in court on June 30, 2017 at 1:30PM in courtroom C-120.
