This morning at approximately 8:05AM, Lake County Sheriff’s Deputies responded to a domestic disturbance in the 25500 block of West Route 134, Ingleside. When deputies arrived, they spoke with one of the individuals involved in the disturbance, Randall S. Grayburn, 24, of the 800 block of Sanctuary Drive, Lake Villa. Sheriff’s deputies discovered Grayburn had an active failure to appear arrest warrant for domestic battery, out of McHenry County.
Sheriff’s deputies attempted to take Grayburn into custody, but he resisted arrest and fled on foot. A perimeter was established and sheriff’s deputies began to systematically search the area. At approximately 11:40AM, Grayburn was located by sheriff’s deputies in a marsh, in the area of Rollins Road and Blackhawk Avenue.
Grayburn was taken into custody and transported to the Lake County Jail where he remains held on the warrant. He is also facing an additional charge of resisting/fleeing arrest (class A misdemeanor).
The Lake County Sheriff’s Office was assisted by the Fox Lake Police Department and Round Lake Police Department during the incident. Additionally, Fox Lake Fire assisted by providing a ladder truck to scan the area from above.
Sheriff Curran reminds the public the defendant is presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
