On May 18, 2017 members of the Lake County Sheriff’s Office Warrants Team and U.S. Marshals Service – Great Lakes Regional Fugitive Task Force (USMS-GLRFTF) apprehended Malcolm D. Green, 23, of the 900 block of South Martin Luther King, Jr. Ave, Waukegan. Green is a documented street gang member and parolee of Illinois and Wisconsin.
Green was wanted on a $200,000.00 arrest warrant for burglary (warrant from a Gurnee Police investigation).
Members of the Lake County Sheriff’s Office Warrants Team and USMS-GLRFTF developed information Green was at his Waukegan residence. Green was found hiding in the kitchen area of the home and arrested.
Members of the Warrants Team found a .40 caliber handgun as well as marijuana in Green’s belongings. He was additionally charged by warrants deputies with unlawful possession of a weapon by a felon (class 2 felony), unlawful possession of ammunition by a felon (class 2 felony), possession of a defaced weapon (class 3 felony), unlawful possession of cannabis with intent to deliver (class A misdemeanor).
Green remains held at the Lake County Jail on the new charges as well as the $200,000.00 arrest warrant. Bail was set at $500,000.00 for his additional charges. Green is due to appear in court on June 8, 2017 at 1:30PM in courtroom C-120.
