On April 13, 2017 members of the Lake County Sheriff’s Office Warrants Team and U.S. Marshals Service – Great Lakes Regional Fugitive Task Force (USMS-GLRFTF) apprehended Pedro L. Lara, 19, of the 35800 block of North Garrick Avenue, unincorporated Waukegan.
Lara had an active $75,000.00 arrest warrant for burglary, theft, and criminal damage to property (warrant from a Gurnee Police investigation). Additionally, he had an active no-bond parole violation warrant issued by the Illinois Department of Corrections.
On April 13th, information was gathered indicating Lara was at his unincorporated Waukegan home. Members of the Lake County Sheriff’s Office Warrants Team and USMS-GLRFTF located Lara hiding in the basement, underneath a bed and covered in clothing.
Lara was arrested and transported to the Lake County Jail, where he currently remains held. His next court date is April 20, 2017 at 1:30PM in courtroom C-120.
Sheriff Curran reminds the public the defendant is presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
