On March 28, 2017 at approximately 9:15PM, Lake County Sheriff’s Deputies responded to the area of Rollins Road and Wilson Road in Ingleside for a traffic crash with injuries. When sheriff’s deputies arrived they found a bicyclist and a Chevrolet Blazer collided.

Preliminary investigation shows the bicyclist, a 17 year old male of Ingleside, was traveling southbound on Wilson Road. The Chevrolet, driven by a 54 year-old man of Ingleside, was traveling westbound on Rollins Road. The bicyclist and Chevrolet collided in the intersection of Wilson Road and Rollins Road.

The bicyclist was wearing dark colored and non-reflective clothing.

The bicyclist was transported to Advocate Condell Medical Center in Libertyville, where he remains in critical condition. The driver of the Chevrolet was uninjured.

The crash remains under investigation by the Lake County Sheriff’s Office Technical Crash Investigations Unit.
