On March 16, 2017 at approximately 6:30PM, Lake County Sheriff’s Deputies responded to the 10500 block of West Talmadge Avenue, Beach Park, regarding a possible drug overdose.

When sheriff’s deputies arrived they located a 37 year-old male unresponsive. Deputy Alexis Rachwalski determined the man was likely suffering an opioid overdose and administered two doses of Naloxone to the man before the arrival of paramedics. Paramedics arrived and administered additional Naloxone, which resulted in the man regaining consciousness.

The man was transported to Vista East Hospital in Waukegan where he’s expected to make a full recovery.

This is the seventh life saved to opioid overdose by Lake County Sheriff’s Deputies, just this year.
