On March 7, 2017 the Lake County Sheriff’s Office Warrants Team in conjunction with the U.S. Marshals Service – Great Lakes Regional Fugitive Task Force (USMS-GLRFTF) learned the whereabouts of wanted fugitive Fabian Ponce, 23, of the 1300 block of North Park Drive, Round Lake Beach.
Ponce is a documented street gang member who had an active $300,000.00 failure to appear arrest warrant for unlawful possession of a controlled substance (warrant from a Round Lake Beach Police investigation). Ponce is also on mandatory supervised release (parole) from the Illinois Department of Corrections.
On March 7th members of the Lake County Sheriff’s Warrants Team and USMS-GLRFTF located Ponce at a residence in the 200 block of East Clarendon Drive, Round Lake Beach. He was taken into custody without incident.
Ponce is being held at the Lake County Jail on $300,000.00 bail. He is next due in court on March 14, 2017 at 9:00AM in courtroom C-120.
Sheriff Curran reminds the public the defendant is presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
