[ARCHIVED] Sheriff’s Deputy Saves Life Using Naloxone and CPR

On February 11, 2017 at approximately 4:30PM, Lake County Sheriff’s Deputies were dispatched to the 38500 block of North Sheridan Road, Beach Park, regarding a 34 year-old woman not breathing.

When sheriff’s deputies arrived they learned the woman was suffering an opioid overdose. Family of the woman already administered three doses of Naloxone. Sheriff’s deputies attempted to administer another dose of Naloxone, to no avail. Deputies began CPR on the woman until paramedic arrived. The woman began breathing on her own and was transported to a local hospital, where she’s expected to recover.

This is the fourth life saved to opioid overdose by Lake County Sheriff’s Deputies, just this year.
