The Lake County Sheriff’s Office is pleased to announce Sergeant Kevin Eckenstahler being awarded the Law Enforcement Award by the Lake County Juvenile Officers Association. Sergeant Eckenstahler accepted the award at the annual awards ceremony held January 20, 2017 in Libertyville.
Sergeant Eckenstahler was nominated by his coworkers to receive the award for his demonstrated commitment to the youth throughout Lake County. Sergeant Eckenstahler leads the Lake County Sheriff’s Office Youth Explorer Program. He’s been leading the program for over three years with great success. Several sheriff’s office explorers have gone on to law enforcement careers.
Sheriff Mark Curran said, “Sergeant Eckenstahler’s dedication to our community’s youth is inspiring. The Lake County Sheriff’s Office makes community focus and involvement a top priority.”
Undersheriff Ray Rose said, “We are very proud of Sergeant Eckenstahler’s positive involvement with the youth. Being a mentor and role model to the kids in our community are values we embrace.”
