On December 20, 2016, the Lake County Sheriff’s Gang Task Force concluded a month-long investigation, which resulted in the arrest of Michael A. Grasso, 52, of the 26400 block of Shannon Avenue, Unincorporated Antioch. Grasso is a documented street gang member.
Members of the Lake County Sheriff’s Gang Task Force conducted a search warrant at Grasso’s residence on December 20th. During the search warrant, detectives recovered over 62 grams of heroin, over 74 grams of cannabis, a loaded .45 caliber firearm, numerous items of drug paraphernalia, and over $1,000.00 USC.
Grasso was arrested and subsequently charged with unlawful possession of a controlled substance with intent to deliver (Class X Felony), unlawful possession of a controlled substance (Class 1 Felony), unlawful possession of a firearm by a felon (Class 2 Felony), unlawful possession of drug paraphernalia (Class A Misdemeanor), and unlawful possession of cannabis (Class A Misdemeanor).
Grasso is being held at the Lake County Jail on $250,000.00 bail. His next court date is December 28, 2016 at 1:30PM in courtroom C-120.
Sheriff Curran reminds the public the defendants are presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
