On December 10, 2016, from noon until 3:00PM, members of the Lake County Sheriff’s Office participated in the annual “Stuff a Squad” drive at the Deer Park Town Center in Deer Park. The Lake County Sheriff’s Office is proud to announce the collection of over 125 toys, which will be donated to underprivileged children via ‘Toys for Tots.’
Every year, the Lake County Sheriff’s Office organizes a “Stuff a Squad” drive. The purpose of the event is to work with the community in obtaining gifts to be donated to ‘Toys for Tots,’ to give underprivileged children the opportunity to have a Christmas present. For the second year in a row, the Lake County Sheriff’s Office worked with the management at Deer Park Town Center and Village of Deer Park to make this another successful event.
Sheriff Mark Curran said, “This is what Christmas spirit is all about! We truly enjoy working with the community to make the holidays brighter for those who are less fortunate.”
Undersheriff Ray Rose added, “Over 125 children will have the chance to open a Christmas present this year because of the community and Lake County Sheriff’s Office coming together to help those in need.”
