On December 2, 2016, at approximately 8:07AM, Lake County Sheriff’s Deputies were dispatched to the 26000 block of North Highland Avenue, Unincorporated Mundelein, for a report of an unresponsive person in Sylvan Lake.
A person jogging just prior to 8:00AM, noticed something floating in Sylvan Lake. He approached the object and realized it appeared to be a person. The jogger ran to a nearby house, where a call to 911 was placed. Lake County Sheriff’s Deputies arrived and located the body of what appears to be an adult female, in the lake.
Sheriff’s detectives and evidence technicians responded to the scene and are in the process of conducting a death investigation.
The victim is described as an Asian female. She is approximately 5’03” – 5’05,” approximately 120 – 130 pounds, and has short black hair. She was wearing a purple long-sleeve shirt, black spandex-type pants, and a grey skirt. She is possibly in her 40’s or 50’s.
