The Lake County Sheriff’s Office is mourning the deaths of Des Moines (IA) Sergeant Anthony ‘Tony’ Beminio, Urbandale (IA) Police Officer Justin Martin, and Rusk County (WI) Deputy Dan Glaze, who were all recently murdered in the line of duty. Members of the Lake County Sheriff’s Office Honor Guard are attending the funerals, in honor of the fallen law enforcement officers.
Deputy Glaze’s funeral service took place on November 4th in Cameron, Wisconsin, Sergeant Beminio’s funeral service took place on November 7th in West Des Moines, Iowa, and Officer Martin’s funeral service takes place on November 8th in Rockwell City, Iowa.
Sheriff Mark Curran said, “When a police officer is murdered in the line of duty, both the community and law enforcement mourn all across the United States. Our hearts go out to the Beminio, Glaze, and Martin families.”
Undersheriff Ray Rose added, “Sending members of the Lake County Sheriff’s Honor Guard is the least we could do to show our support for those tragically murdered while serving and protecting their communities.”
