On October 25, 2016, members of the Lake County Sheriff’s Office Warrants Team along with the United States Marshal Service-Great Lakes Regional Fugitive Task Force (GLRFTF) located and apprehended a wanted gang member. Delwin L. Hodge, 18, of North Chicago was located and arrested in Third Lake.
Hodge had an active arrest warrant for three counts of armed robbery with a firearm (class X felonies) and three counts of aggravated robbery (class 1 felonies), stemming from an armed robbery which occurred in North Chicago in August of 2016. Additionally, Hodge had an active failure to appear arrest warrant for possession of a controlled substance (class 4 felony).
Members of the Lake County Sheriff’s Office Warrants Team began surveillance at a residence in Round Lake Beach where Hodge was believed to be living. On October 25th, he was seen in the area driving a vehicle. Members of the Lake County Sheriff’s Office Warrants Team and GLRFTF conducted a traffic stop on Hodge’s vehicle in Third Lake, where he was successfully taken into custody.
Hodge remains in the Lake County Jail on $750,000.00 bail. His next court date is October 26, 2016 at 9:00AM in courtroom C-120.
