The Lake County Sheriff’s Gang Task Force, along with North Chicago Police Department, concluded a two-month long investigation with the arrest of a documented street gang member.

On four separate occasions, Daniel R. Blalock, 19, of the 900 block of Forest Lane, Waukegan, sold cocaine to an undercover member of the Lake County Sheriff’s Gang Task Force. During one of the sales, Blalock, a previously convicted felon, facilitated the sale of a firearm to the undercover detective.

On September 15, 2016, members of the Lake County Sheriff’s Gang Task Force obtained an arrest warrant for Blalock for four counts of unlawful delivery of a controlled substance (class 2 felonies) and one count of unlawful possession of a weapon by a felon (class 2 felony).

Blalock was located and arrested on October 20, 2016 in the 1200 block of Glenn Drive, North Chicago. He is currently being held in the Lake County Jail on $250,000.00 bail. His next court date is October 27, 2016 at 9:00AM in courtroom C-120.
