Wanted Man Apprehended by Lake County Sheriff’s Office and U.S. Marshal Service
On September 30, 2016, at approximately 10:00AM, members of the Lake County Sheriff’s Office Warrants Division along with the U.S. Marshal Service – Great Lakes Regional Fugitive Task Force (USMS-GLRFTF) concluded a warrant service operation, resulting in the arrest of wanted fugitive Deon L. Brown, 23, of 1900 block of Sherman Avenue, North Chicago.
Brown had active Lake County arrest warrants for armed robbery ($1,000,000.00 bond), resisting a peace officer, and failure to appear warrants for drug related offenses. Brown is a documented street gang member and has eluded apprehension for over one month.
Brown was located in the 5500 block of 61st Street, Kenosha, by members of the Lake County Sheriff’s Office Warrants Division and members of the USMS-GLRFTF. Brown was seen in the area driving a vehicle. Brown initially attempted to flee when law enforcement made contact with him, but he was taken into custody without further incident.
Brown was subsequently transported to the Kenosha County Jail, where he currently remains, for an extradition hearing.
Sheriff Curran reminds the public that the defendant is presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
