On September 24, 2016, at approximately 12:17 AM, Lake County Sheriff’s Deputies were dispatched to the 200 block of Stonehenge Ln, Tower Lakes, for a report of a 16-year-old female not conscious or breathing.
Sheriff’s Deputies arrived and discovered the victim was breathing. She and several other juveniles had overdosed on Xanax and had consumed alcohol. Five juveniles were subsequently transported to Advocate Good Shepherd Hospital. An additional two juveniles were monitored at home by their parents as they were already home. All juveniles have since fully recovered.
The property owners were aware of the party which began around 6:30 PM; however, they were not aware of the consumption of alcohol or prescription drugs by the juveniles. The Xanax belonged to one of the juveniles at the party, who had been prescribed the medication two years ago.
