Lake County Public Works (LCPW) customers in the Wildwood Water System are asked to conserve their water usage on Monday, Aug. 28 as the Central Lake County Joint Action Water Agency conducts repairs to one of their transmission mains. The repairs are expected to take between 18 – 24 hours to complete.
While LCPW expects there to be enough emergency storage to meet the daily demand, conserving water can help maintain the system in case the repairs take longer than expected.
Tips to conserve water on Aug. 28 include:
- Avoid watering your lawn
- Take showers rather than baths; and
- Don’t let the water run while brushing your teeth or shaving
LCPW staff is prepared for this shutdown and will be monitoring the system. We thank you for your cooperation. When conserving water, every drop counts!
