On August 23, 2023, Lake County Sheriff’s Deputies and Antioch Fire Protection District responded to the 26200 block of West Forest Court, Unincorporated Antioch, for a fire.  A 911 caller reported they heard an explosion and saw their neighbor’s house on fire.  

Antioch Fire Protection District quickly extinguished the fire.  There was significant damage to the home and two vehicles parked outside the home.  The homeowner was not home at the time of the fire and nobody was inside.  

Evidence was located in the home indicating the fire is suspicious in nature.  Sheriff’s Arson Investigators are working with the Antioch Fire Protection District and Office of the State Fire Marshal to further the investigation.
