The Lake County Sheriff’s Merit Commission is currently accepting applications for the position of deputy sheriff. Applicants must be a U.S. citizen and at least 21 years of age at the time of orientation, a high school graduate (or GED) and possess a valid driver’s license.

The eligibility process includes attendance at the orientation and successful completion of the physical agility test, written entrance exam, oral interview, psychological exam, polygraph, and background investigation.
