[ARCHIVED] Welcome to Our Newly Countywide Elected Officials

Sheriff John D. Idleburg was sworn-in for his second term as the Sheriff of Lake County. Deputy Chief Judge Daniel B. Shanes administered the oath of office at a ceremony in the Lake County Boardroom. After the event, Sheriff Idleburg said, “I am incredibly honored by the trust and support of the community. I am grateful to continue leading the incredible men and women of our organization during this next term, and we will continue providing exceptional service to the Lake County community." More info

Anthony Vega was sworn in as the sixteenth County Clerk for Lake County. Judge Jorge L. Ortiz administered the oath of office. County Clerk Vega is not new to Lake County service, having previously served as the Chief of Staff for the Lake County Sheriff's Office. “The significance of my swearing-in is not lost on me as I take office as I become the first LGBTQ person to hold a countywide office and first Latino County Clerk,said County Clerk Anthony Vega. "I have always said that government works best when it is a reflection of our diverse communities, but there’s still so much work to be done. I look forward to the next four years as we modernize the Clerk’s Office to increase our accessibility, the quality of our robust services, and our civic education efforts.”  More info

Lake County Treasurer Holly Kim was sworn in for her second term. Deputy Chief Judge Daniel B. Shanes administered the oath of office. “I can’t wait to see what we do with the next four! I promise to keep working to improve the Lake County Treasurer’s Office and help create a more fruitful life for all our residents,” said Treasurer Kim. More info.
