[ARCHIVED] St. Patrick’s Day Traffic Safety Campaign Results

Lake County Sheriff’s Deputies arrested one person for DUI, 10 people for driving with a suspended driver’s license, issued 31 speeding citations, and 31 seat belt violation citations during the recent St. Patrick’s Day Traffic Safety Campaign.

The Drive Sober or Get Pulled Over and Click It or Ticket enforcement effort ran from Friday, March 11, 2022, through the early morning hours of Friday, March 18, 2022, to keep impaired drivers off the roadways and ensure vehicle occupants are wearing their seat belts.

The Lake County Sheriff’s Office joined with state and local law enforcement and highway safety partners for the St. Patrick’s Day enforcement campaign.

The effort was made possible by federal traffic safety funds administered by the Illinois Department of Transportation.
