Preliminary investigation indicates a 2012 Chevrolet Impala was traveling westbound on Big Hollow Road, when for an unknown reason, the 50-year-old male driver, of Wauconda, drove off the roadway, on the south side of the road. As he returned to his lane of traffic, he struck an eastbound 2001 Dodge Neon, driven by a 31-year-old male, of Round Lake Park. An eastbound 2006 Nissan Sentra, driven by a 28-year-old male, of Wonder Lake, was also struck.
The driver of the Chevrolet and the driver of Dodge were both transported to Centegra Northern Illinois Medical Center, McHenry, with serious injuries, believed to be non-life threatening.
The crash remains under investigation by the Lake County Sheriff’s Office.
