On June 14, 2016, just after 11:00PM, Lake County Sheriff’s Deputies were dispatched to Cardinal Wine and Liquor, 39172 North Sheridan Road, Beach Park, for an armed robbery. Three male black offenders, wearing masks, entered the store and robbed two employees at gunpoint. They obtained an undisclosed amount of cash, before fleeing on foot. A Sheriff’s Office Canine Team responded and successfully tracked the offenders to a location where it’s believed they fled in a vehicle.
On July 1, 2016, just before 2:00AM, Lake County Sheriff’s Deputies were dispatched to the BP Gas Station, 39105 Route 41, Wadsworth, for an armed robbery. Three male black offenders, wearing masks, entered the gas station and robbed the clerks at gunpoint. They obtained an undisclosed amount of cash, before fleeing the gas station on foot. A Sheriff’s Office Canine Team responded and again successfully tracked the offenders to a location where it’s believed they fled in a vehicle.
It is believed the same men are responsible for both armed robberies. In both armed robberies, they wore similar clothing and masks covering their faces.
