As part of the Northeast region, Lake County entered Phase 3 of the Restore Illinois plan today. Governor J.B. Pritzker announced he is signing a new executive order to reflect these changes while extending the state of emergency for another 30 days. The new ’Community Recovery Order’ continues with previously outlined guidelines, limiting gatherings to groups of 10 people or less, requiring face coverings in public, and reopening many businesses with precautions to keep residents safe.Additional businesses are now able to open following state safety guidelines, and small gatherings will be permitted while social distancing and using a face covering.
The State of Illinois has developed guidelines and toolkits to prepare businesses and employers to implement new safety guidelines and bring many residents back to work. Toolkits include business guidelines, checklists, posters, signage, and social media graphics.
