A committee focused on allocating over $122 million of CARES Act funding will have its first meeting at 8:30 am Friday morning. The new committee will provide guidance and direction on funding used to develop programming and service opportunities that will be responsive to community needs created by COVID-19.
"The Lake County Board and staff from every department have been working together for the past several months on coordinating Lake County’s COVID-19 response with a focus on making sure our residents are protected,’ said Lake County Board Chair Sandy Hart. ’As testing and contact tracing increase and we move towards recovery, our goal is to provide resources to residents and businesses who have been suffering during this crisis."
The Special Committee members are:
- Paul Frank - District 11
- Steve Carlson - District 7
- Jennifer Clark - District 15
- Linda Pedersen - District 1
- Jessica Vealitzek - District 10
The Special Committee will oversee the Lake County Administrator’s Office Recovery Committee and its supporting task forces focused on planning, coordination, and developing options for Lake County Board review and approval.
