The Lake County Sheriff’s Office is postponing the Annual Lake County Police Memorial due to continued COVID-19 concerns.

The annual event, scheduled to take place in May, will be postponed until the late summer or early fall.  

Sheriff John Idleburg said, “While it is disappointing we have to postpone the Annual Lake County Police Memorial, it is a step we can take to avoid spreading COVID-19 at a large gathering.  Those killed in the line-of-duty deserve our respect, gratitude, and recognition, so we will announce a new date for late summer or early fall.”
