It is time, once again, for the Lake County Summer Youth Employment Program!  This popular program, funded by the Lake County Board, will provide meaningful work experiences in either onsite or virtual environments for approximately 215 youth this summer. Applications for the summer program will be available from Monday, March 1 to Friday, April 30 on the Job Center website www.lakecountyjobcenter.com 

To qualify for employment, youth must be:

• Age 14 to 18 (by April 15) OR age 14 to 22 with an Individualized Education Plan (IEP)
• Attending middle school or high school
• Receive free or reduced lunch OR meet low income guidelines

 A lottery system is utilized to select candidates to move forward in the application process.  Check the Job Center website after May 17 for application status.  We will contact selected youth to complete the intake process.

 Work and virtual opportunities for participants will begin July 5, 2021.  The program lasts approximately 4 weeks.
