On January 3, 2020, at approximately 11:00AM, Lake County Sheriff’s Deputies responded to a traffic crash with injuries on West Neville Road just west of Darrell Road, Unincorporated Wauconda.  Sheriff’s deputies arrived and located a single-vehicle crash.  The driver/sole occupant of the vehicle was deceased at the scene.

Preliminary investigation shows a 2016 Lincoln MKC was traveling westbound on West Neville Road just west of Darrell Road.  For an unknown reason, the driver left the roadway on the south side of the road and struck a tree.  After striking the tree, the Lincoln rolled back into the middle of the roadway.  The driver of the vehicle was subsequently pronounced deceased at the scene.

The Lake County Coroner’s Office responded and is scheduling an autopsy.  

The crash remains under investigation by the Lake County Sheriff’s Office Technical Crash Investigations Team.
