Lake County Sheriff’s Deputies arrested a 31-year-old man on November 19, 2019, for committing several burglaries to vehicles in Ingleside.
On November 19th at approximately 10:00PM, Lake County Sheriff’s Deputies responded to the 35400 block of North Wilson Road, Ingleside, for a burglary to motor vehicle report. Deputies arrived and searched the area for the offender. At approximately 11:20PM they located Joseph J. Sempek, 31, of the 26600 block of Wildwood Avenue, Ingleside, in the area of Wilson Road and Shandon Drive. Sempek was found to be in possession of several stolen items.
In addition to the first burglary, further investigation by sheriff’s deputies and sheriff’s detectives revealed Sempek burglarized two other vehicles on North Wilson Road and another in the 25800 block of West Marquette Drive, Ingleside.
Sempek was arrested and transported to the Lake County Jail. The Lake County State’s Attorney’s Office approved the charges of four counts of burglary (class 3 felonies) and four counts of criminal trespass to motor vehicle (class A misdemeanors).
Sempek remains held in the Lake County Jail on $150,000.00 bail. He is next due in court December 10, 2019, at 1:30PM in courtroom T110.
The Lake County Sheriff’s Office reminds the community to always lock the doors to unattended vehicles and to always remove all valuables from unattended vehicles.
