[ARCHIVED] Missing Endangered Round Lake Area Man

Wu

The Lake County Sheriff’s Office is seeking the public’s assistance in locating a missing endangered man.

Nicholas ‘Nick’ Wu, 26, was last seen on September 29, 2019, at approximately 5:00PM, leaving his home in the 24900 block of West Clinton Avenue, Unincorporated Round Lake.  Nick left on a longboard skateboard after an argument with family members.  Family members are concerned due to Nick’s agitated and at times violent state.

Nick is described as being 5’10,” 210 pounds, with brown eyes and brown hair.  He was last seen wearing a tan short sleeve button down shirt with pictures of antique vehicles, black shorts, and light blue Nike shoes.  He was carrying a backpack with a white GE Healthcare logo on it.

If you see Nick or have any information of his whereabouts, please don’t approach, but call 911.

Update: Man Located, Transported to Hospital, Arrested After Release

On September 30, 2019, at approximately 9:45PM, Lake County Sheriff’s Deputies were dispatched to a residence in the 35600 block of North Louise Place, Ingleside for a 48-year-old woman overdosing.  While Sheriff’s Deputies and Paramedics were tending to the victim, a group of onlookers approached and were watching.  Sheriff’s Deputies noticed one of the bystanders was Nicholas ‘Nick” Wu.

Wu was transported to an area hospital to evaluate his wellbeing, following his previous erratic behavior.  He was released from the hospital at approximately 6:30AM and taken into custody for an active domestic battery arrest warrant, which stemmed from the incident on September 29th, just prior to him going missing.

Wu is being held at the Lake County Jail on $50,000.00 bail and will appear in court today.

All defendants are presumed innocent unless proven guilty in a court of law.
