On September 16, 2019, the Lake County Sheriff’s Special Investigations Group concluded a two-month narcotics investigation, which resulted in the arrest of Quinten A. Wooding, 33, of the 3000 block of Arthur Court, Waukegan. During this investigation, Wooding was on bond regarding an incident which occurred in Zion in May, where he was charged with Unlawful Possession of a Controlled Substance with Intent to Deliver.
During this investigation, members of the Special Investigations Group obtained a search warrant for Wooding’s residence, which was conducted on September 16th. Following the search warrant, Wooding was found to be in possession of a semi-automatic pistol, over 15 grams of heroin packaged for delivery, and over a gram of cocaine packaged for delivery.
Wooding was arrested and subsequently charged with:
Armed Habitual Criminal (Class X Felony)
Unlawful Possession of Heroin with Intent to Delivery (Class X Felony)
Unlawful Possession of Cocaine with Intent to Deliver (Class 1 Felony)
Two Counts of Unlawful Possession of a Controlled Substance (Class 1 Felonies)
Unlawful Use of a Weapon by a Felon (Class 2 Felony)
Sheriff John Idleburg said, “The diligence and hard work of our Special Investigations Group resulted in the arrest of a convicted felon, who was out on bond. Drugs and violence do not have place in Lake County and our Special Investigations Group, along with all our staff, are working hard to keep our community safe.”
Wooding remains held on $500,000.00 bail and is next due in court on September 20, 2019 at 9:00AM in courtroom T110.
