According to the National Safety Council, drug poisoning is the number-one cause of unintentional death in the United States. International Overdose Awareness Day is held on August 31 to raise awareness of overdose and reduce the stigma of a drug-related death.
People who use drugs, their loved ones, and community members are invited to a FREE event to learn how to prevent opioid overdoses.
