On July 17, 2019, the Lake County Sheriff’s Office learned of an ongoing employee-theft occurring at Domino’s Pizza located in the 38900 block of North Lewis Avenue, Beach Park.
Further investigation conducted by Sheriff’s Deputies and Sheriff’s Detectives showed Domino’s employee Radley M. Kuersten, 20, of the 11500 block of Oak Drive, Beach Park, had been stealing cash from the restaurant for over a month, totaling approximately $28,000.00.
Sheriff’s Detectives discovered Kuersten was tasked with taking the daily deposits to the bank. Instead of taking the cash to the bank, Kuersten stole the money and kept it for himself. Sheriff’s Detectives were able to recover approximately $20,000.00 of the cash from Kuersten’s residence, belonging to Domino’s.
Kuersten was arrested and the Lake County State’s Attorney’s Office approved one count of Felony Theft (Class 2 Felony).
Kuersten remains held in the Lake County Jail pending an initial court hearing this morning.
Sheriff Idleburg reminds the community all defendants are presumed innocent unless proven guilty in a court of law.
