CLCJAWA is repairing the water main for the Vernon Hills and Wildwood water systems from Tuesday, June 18 to Friday, June 21. The system can operate normally using water stored in our reservoirs while the work is being performed. However, Lake County Public Works (LCPW) is asking residents to conserve water so we can maximize how long the stored water will last, just in case the repairs take much longer than planned. There is a chance the County will have to issue a boil water notice if the initial water quality test is inconclusive. If so, the water would be safe to use for showers, toilets and laundry, but you would need to boil water used for drinking or cooking. The repairs are unlikely to cause any disruption to customers but please conserve water starting next Tuesday to ensure we don’t have any issues. If you have any questions, please call Lake County Public Works at 847-377-7500.
