This plan was developed in 2006 with input from local elected officials and residents. Together, we reached consensus and supported a list of priority transportation projects to bring about meaningful congestion relief to the transportation system in Lake County. Since that time, the regional significance of these projects have been reconfirmed as many of these projects are included in current regional planning tools such as, Lake County’s 2040 Transportation Plan and CMAP’s On To 2050 plan.
The State Highway Consensus Plan takes a regional approach and the projects were selected based on benefits to the overall system. While some progress has been made, there is still over $1.2 billion in project work that remains to be completed on the state system. At this meeting, we’d like to provide an update on the original plan, discuss the progress made and the work that remains. We need your input on the current state of need in Lake County, and your support in charting a course forward so we can continue to advocate with one voice for our transportation future.
