[ARCHIVED] Jail Inmate Charged with Solicitation of Murder for Hire

Tramble

On February 19, 2019, Lake County Sheriff’s Detectives and Lake County Sheriff’s Gang Task Force Detectives concluded a two-month investigation which resulted in a man being charged with Solicitation of Murder for Hire.

In December of 2018, Detectives received information Ade Tramble, 45, of the 6300 block of North Hermitage Ave, Chicago, was attempting to contact a hitman.  Tramble, a Lake County Jail inmate, was being held on numerous felony charges including home invasion, unlawful restraint, and domestic battery (charges stem from a Zion Police Department investigation).  Detectives learned Tramble was attempting to hire someone to kill a witness who was going to testify against him at trial.

Tramble began communicating with who he thought was a hitman, but was actually an undercover Sheriff’s Gang Task Force Detective.  Following the communication and investigation, Tramble was charged with one count of Solicitation of Murder for Hire (Class X Felony).

Sheriff John Idleburg said, “If it weren’t for the complete and thorough investigation conducted by our detectives and members of the Sheriff’s Gang Task Force, we could have been investigating the murder of a witness.  Witnesses should never fear for their safety or be intimidated into not testifying.  We will always be here to protect the safety of victims and witnesses.”

Tramble remains held in the Lake County Jail on $500,000.00 bail.  He is next due in court on March 14, 2019, at 1:30PM in courtroom T110.

Sheriff Idleburg reminds the community all defendants are presumed innocent unless proven guilty in a court of law.
