On April 13, 2016, at approximately 6:50 AM, Lake County Sheriff’s Deputies were dispatched to Fairfield Road south of Route 120, Unincorporated Round Lake, for a traffic crash with injuries. Deputies arrived and found a 2005 Chrysler Town & Country mini-van and a 2008 Honda Odyssey mini-van were involved in the crash.

Preliminary investigation shows the Honda was stopped in traffic, facing northbound on Fairfield Road, just south of Route 120. The driver of the Chrysler was traveling northbound, approached the Honda, and the front-end of the Chrysler struck the rear-end of the Honda. The driver of the Chrysler was subsequently transported to Condell Hospital in critical condition. The driver of the Honda was uninjured.

This crash remains under investigation by the Lake County Sheriff’s Office Technical Crash Investigations Unit.
