As Lake County Facilities continues to modernize equipment at the Lake County Jail, there will be a pre-planned partial shut-off of the water. The water will be shut-off in the morning on Wednesday, February 6th. Contractors plan to turn the water back on in the evening on Wednesday. There will again be another partial shut-off in the morning on Thursday, February 7th, with the water being turned back on Thursday evening.

This shut-off will cause minimal interruption, as inmates needing to utilize the facilities or obtain water will be moved to the unaffected areas.

Additional bottled water will be made available to any inmates requesting extra water.

The inconveniences created by the construction work will result in a modernized jail facility, which will help ensure the safety of inmates and correctional officers.
