The Lake County Sheriff’s Office is pleased to announce Sheriff John Idleburg was presented the ‘Drum Major Award’ at the Waukegan Township’s 17th Annual Rev. Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Dreamers’ Banquet.  Sheriff Idleburg was selected by Waukegan Township as an awardee for this year’s ‘Drum Major Award.’  

The ‘Drum Major Award’ is awarded to local community leaders and pastors for their integrity and contribution to the greater good.  Sheriff Idleburg was selected for his dedication and commitment to the people of Lake County.

Sheriff Idleburg said, “I am so honored to be selected to receive the ‘Drum Major Award.’ The support and confidence I’ve received from the Lake County community as well as the members of the Lake County Sheriff’s Office has been truly inspirational.  I look forward to the great things we as a sheriff’s office will accomplish over the years for our community.”
