On December 27, 2018, at approximately 2:15PM, Lake County Sheriff’s Deputies were dispatched to a residence in the 38700 block of North Sheridan Road, Beach Park, for a burglary in progress. Sheriff’s Deputies arrived and discovered the offenders fled just prior to their arrival.
First-responding Sheriff’s Deputies continued checking the surrounding area and found a vehicle at Sheridan Road and Crissy Avenue, Beach Park, matching the description of the car driven by the offenders. Upon seeing the Sheriff’s Deputy the driver of the vehicle quickly pulled into a subdivision, and the occupants fled from the car. Sheriff’s Deputies established a perimeter and took three suspects into custody.
Sheriff’s Deputies and Sheriff’s Detectives continued the investigation and processed the burglary scene for evidence.
Thashawn S.C. Robinson, 19, of the 2000 block of Eshcol Avenue, Zion, Tyshawn King, 19, of the 37200 block of North Grandwood Drive, Gurnee, and a 17-year-old male juvenile of Waukegan were all subsequently charged with Residential Burglary (Class 1 Felony).
The juvenile was transported to the Hulse Juvenile Detention Facility near Vernon Hills pending an initial detention hearing.
Robinson and King remain held in the Lake County Jail pending an initial court hearing today.
Sheriff Idleburg reminds the public the defendants are presumed innocent unless proven guilty in a court of law.
