On November 1, 2018, at approximately 6:00PM, Lake County Sheriff’s Deputies responded to Route 60/83 and Circle Drive South, Fremont Township, for a traffic crash with injuries.

Preliminary investigation shows a 2000 Ford Van driven by a 53-year-old male of Harwood Heights was attempting to make a left turn from Circle Drive onto southbound Route 60/83. The man made the left turn in front of a northbound 2010 Land Rover SUV, driven by a 35-year-old female of Mundelein. The front of the Land Rover struck the driver’s side of the Ford.

The driver of the Ford was transported to Advocate Condell Medical Center with critical injuries. A 7-year-old female passenger and a 6-year-old female passenger in the Land Rover were also transported to Advocate Condell Medical Center with serious injuries.

The crash remains under investigation by the Lake County Sheriff’s Office Technical Crash Investigations Unit.
