On October 16, 2018, the Lake County Sheriff’s Office Warrants Team in conjunction with the U.S. Marshals Service – Great Lakes Regional Fugitive Task Force (USMS-GLRFTF), apprehended Rahsaan R. Carr, 42, of the 1500 block of Park Avenue, North Chicago. Carr, a documented street gang member, had a felony warrant for Aggravated Battery with a Firearm, Aggravated Discharge of a Firearm, and Aggravated Battery.  The warrant stems from an incident which occurred in Zion, on June 23, 2018. During the incident, Carr allegedly produced a handgun at a party and shot someone. The warrant (bond amount $2,000,000.00) was obtained by Zion Police Detectives on June 29, 2018.  

On September 24, 2018, while attempting service of the warrant at Carr’s residence in North Chicago, Warrants Deputies recovered a loaded semi-automatic handgun, however, Carr was not located inside the residence. 

During the course of the fugitive investigation, information was developed by Warrants Deputies which indicated Carr was still in the North Chicago area. While conducting surveillance on October 16, 2018, members of the Warrants Team observed Carr exit a residence in the 1300 block of Broadway Avenue, North Chicago, and enter a vehicle. Warrants Deputies apprehended Carr without incident.   

Carr was transported to the Lake County Jail where here remains held on $2,000,000.00 bail.  His next court date is October 18, 2018, at 9:00AM, in courtroom T110.
