On July 19, 2018, the Lake County Sheriff’s Gang Task Force conducted a search warrant at a residence in the 1700 block of Lincoln Street, North Chicago, after concluding a month-long investigation.  Following the investigation and search warrant, Willie Allen, Jr., 47, was arrested.  Allen resides at the location the search warrant occurred.

During the search, Sheriff’s Gang Task Force Detectives seized 3 handguns and over 1,750 grams of cannabis.  

Allen was subsequently charged with three counts of Unlawful Use of a Weapon by a Felon (Class 2 Felonies), Unlawful Possession of Cannabis with Intent to Deliver (Class 2 Felony), and Unlawful Possession of Cannabis (Class 3 Felony).

Allen is being held in the Lake County Jail on $75,000.00 bail.  He is next due in court on August 15, 2018, at 1:30PM in courtroom C-120.

Sheriff Curran reminds the public the defendant is presumed innocent unless proven guilty in a court of law.
