On June 25, 2018, at approximately 11:25 AM, Lake County Sheriff’s Deputies were dispatched to Rollins Road and Route 45, Warren Township, for a traffic crash involving a motorcycle. Sheriff’s Deputies arrived and found the driver of the motorcycle had significant injuries.

Preliminary investigation shows the driver of a 2002 Kawasaki Motorcycle, an 18-year-old man of Lindenhurst, was traveling westbound on Rollins Road and attempted to make a left turn onto southbound Route 45. While turning, a 2007 Chrysler Sedan traveling eastbound, driven by a 19- year-old man of Round Lake, struck the motorcycle. The driver of the motorcycle was transported to Advocate Condell Medical Center in Libertyville with critical injuries.

The driver of the Chrysler was not injured. A female adult passenger and a female minor passenger in the Chrysler were transported to a local hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

The crash remains under investigation by the Lake County Sheriff’s Office Technical Crash Investigations Unit.
